CompassCare

CompassCare is built and operated by CompassCareApp LLC ("we," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information CompassCare handles, and — more importantly — what it doesn't.

The short version

CompassCare stores everything on your device. Your medications, allergies, care team, comfort preferences, who to notify, who NOT to tell, kid logistics — none of it leaves your phone unless you explicitly share it. We don't have a server, we don't have an account system, we don't have your data.

What we collect

Nothing on our end. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal information.

All data you enter into CompassCare is stored locally on your device using iOS's standard secure storage (AsyncStorage / NSUserDefaults). It remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

What we don't do

• We do not track you.
• We do not use analytics or crash reporting that identifies you.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not share data with third parties (we have no data to share).
• We do not require an account, email, or phone number to use CompassCare.

What you can do

When you tap a phone number inside Care Mode, iOS opens your Phone app to make the call — that's a normal iOS action, and the call itself is handled by Apple/your carrier, not by us.

When you activate Care Mode and hand your phone to a caregiver, they can see whatever you've put into the app. That sharing happens by you physically handing over your unlocked device — not through any server.

Children's privacy

CompassCare is intended for adults coordinating care for themselves or family members. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you add information about your own children to the Kids & Logistics section, that information is stored only on your device.

Health information

You may choose to record health information in CompassCare (medications, allergies, conditions). Because all data stays on your device and we do not transmit or store it, CompassCare is not a HIPAA-covered service, and we do not act as a business associate or service provider for any healthcare provider. Treat the app the same way you'd treat a paper notebook containing health notes: keep your phone secure.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how CompassCare handles data (for example, if we add cloud sync or sharing features in the future), we will update this policy and notify you inside the app before the change takes effect.
